How to prepare
- Research the employer. Read their website and recent news. Be ready to say, specifically, why you want to work there.
- Know your own CV. Interviewers ask about what's on the page. Be ready to expand on every role and achievement.
- Prepare real examples. Use the STAR method — Situation, Task, Action, Result — to answer "tell me about a time…" questions.
- Plan to arrive early. Aim to be there 10–15 minutes before. Confirm the venue and transport the day before.
- Dress the part. Neat, professional attire that suits the workplace. When unsure, dress one notch smarter.
- Have questions ready. Always ask one or two thoughtful questions — it shows genuine interest in the role.

Common interview questions
Tell me about yourself.
Give a short, professional summary: your current role or studies, a key strength, and why you want this job. Keep it under a minute.
Why do you want to work here?
Show you've researched the employer. Mention something specific about them and connect it to your skills and goals.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Pick a real strength relevant to the role. For a weakness, be honest but show how you're actively improving.
Tell me about a challenge you overcame.
Use the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, the Action you took, and the Result. Choose a real example with a positive outcome.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Show ambition that fits the role — growing your skills and taking on more responsibility with the company.
What are your salary expectations?
Give a researched range rather than a single figure, and say you're open to discussing the full package. Know the local market rate for the role.

Always ask one or two: about the team, day-to-day work, or what success looks like in the role.
